A new subsidiary allowing business leaders to focus on optimizing and managing the accounting, finance, and workforce functions of organizations nationwide has been introduced by RKL LLP.

RKL LLP named Michael De Stefano as chief operating officer. 

Lancaster-based, RKL LLP, one of the largest CPA and advisory firms serving Central and Eastern Pennsylvania has expanded its presence in the Lehigh Valley through the merger with Allentown-based Stoudt Associates LLC. 

For the first time in its 125-year history, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants has named a woman as its CEO and executive director.

As the CPA profession adopts a technologically advanced skill set to maintain the public’s trust, professional trade groups are working with licensing bodies on a multi-year initiative to “evolve” the CPA licensure model, with a goal of unveiling a new uniform exam by Jan. 1, 2024.
