A December housing market report from the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors showed the Lehigh Valley hitting a record low for month’s supply of inventory.

Though new housing permits rose 5 percent nationally in October to a new 12-year high, low levels of inventory continue to drag down the market.

Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors released its October data on the local real estate market, which showed low housing supply continuing to hold back sales.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors reported September data showed buyer and seller activity remaining active, bolstered by low mortgage rates and a strong economy. However, low inventory showed a persistent decrease, limiting available options for buyers.
