The rapid growth in the Lehigh Valley is a balancing act for those tasked with approving projects and improving roads and infrastructure. 

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) and Reading Area Community College (RACC) have formed a partnership that offers students in Lehigh, Carbon and Schuylkill counties an associate degree in a high—demand field. 

Lehigh University Small Business Development Center received more than $1.5 million of nearly $14.2 million in Community Block Grant-CARES Act funding to provide COVID relief grants, Gov. Tom Wolf said today. 

Governor Tom Wolf announced today grants were awarded to 2,115 fire and EMS companies across the state, including Berks, Carbon, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

Farms in the Lehigh Valley and the Central Pa. region are among those in 18 counties preserved by the state from future development today, investing more than $7.2 million in state, county and township dollars. 

State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, (D-Lehigh), today announced the state has awarded $2.75 million in funding to three projects in Lehigh County from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program. 

Now, Vic Neumann is planning what he’ll do with a $15,000 grant he just received via the American Rescue Plan. He is the latest business to benefit from the bailout money in Northampton County. The check was delivered in person by Lamont McClure, county executive, and representatives of the Department of Community and Economic Development.
