Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos has unveiled the latest details on its new three-bedroom Woodland Villa Concept that will be designed in part by well-known interior designer Nate Berkus.
Berkus will be designing the outdoor living spaces of the villas, which are scheduled to open in late summer.
“For the design of the Woodland Villas outdoor patio, Great Wolf challenged us to come up with a design that reflected the natural beauty of the Poconos, as well as being a multi-functional space where families could gather to spend time together, playing games, enjoying a meal,” said Berkus. “I love where we landed, with the natural elements, touches of whimsy, as well as some old-fashioned moments that we can’t wait for guests to experience.”
Construction is currently under way for 30 Woodland Villas at the Pocono resort that will be 1,500-square feet in size. The Villas are being built on what the resort’s management described as a “fairly secluded” portion of its property, adjacent to the main resort, that will provide excellent views for guests.
The Woodland Villas are part of a major $125 million expansion and renovation project underway at Great Wolf Lodge Pocono Mountains, which will also bring an additional 200 family-friendly guest rooms to the resort and a 40,000 square-foot expansion to its indoor water park.
The Woodland Villas are geared towards larger families, or friend groups traveling together, with each villa offering three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchenette and a private outdoor patio area and are designed to accommodate up to 10 guests.
The sleeping quarters include a s master bedroom, a second bedroom with two queen beds as well as a kid’s suite with bunk-beds and a sitting area with TV and campfire nightlight.
