Pottsville’s D.G. Yuengling & Sons Inc. wants to add foodies to its fandom.

The brewery has announced a partnership with a celebrity chef, Kelsey Barnard Clark, to promote the brand during food and beer occasions throughout the year by developing recipes that feature Yuengling beers such as its traditional lager.

Clark, who was the ‘Top Chef’ season 16 winner, said she is an avid Yuengling fan and even served Yuengling at her wedding.

Clark will be working with Sheryl Yuengling, a sixth-generation member of the Yuengling family and graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts.

Recipes they have developed include braised chili using Yuengling lager and a beer battered shrimp po boy using Yuengling golden pilsner.

Yuengling and Clark will be featured on point of sale items throughout the brewery’s 22-state footprint and the two women will also make appearances where they will meet with and cook for fans.
