Those in the construction industry and related fields can get the opportunity to learn about timely topics at the Greater Lehigh Valley Construction Specifications Institute’s annual expo.
The Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter of the national organization will host its 40th anniversary expo at the Holiday Inn Conference Center on Route 100 South in Upper Macungie Township on April 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The expo includes four seminars for continuing education and more than 70 product manufacturers and installers showing the latest in building technology.
“We have two educational topics we think are timely – classroom security and virtual reality and how it applies to construction,” said Clint Newton, expo chairperson and president elect.
“We are expecting 350 people. In addition to education, there’s also networking opportunities to meet with the suppliers we use on a daily basis.”
The four technical seminars are “Ensuring Classroom Security and Safety,” “Managing the Legal and Practice Issues of Building Information Modeling,” “Improving Construction Practices with Special Inspections” and “Integrating Virtual Reality and Future BIM Technologies.”
The event is free. Attendees can register at www.thecsiexpo.com.
