Austin has been president since 2003; his primary duties are serving as CEO of the college with operational oversight and as chief community liaison officer for the college.
He has managed a 120% growth in enrollment, advancing enrollment and improving graduation outcomes for 18 consecutive years, setting another graduation rate record in 2020.
Life lesson: Treat each person you meet as the most important person, 1) because that is how human beings should treat one another, and 2) to that other person, they are important and so is their request, concern or accolade.
For fun, Austin enjoys playing with his dog – “see the musings of Harry Truman.”
