Pottsville’s D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc. is launching an advertising and marketing campaign next month geared to increase its profile throughout Pennsylvania and its entire 18-state distribution footprint.
Called “Respect. It’s Earned,” the campaign aims to tell the story of America’s oldest brewery and reach an entire new audience through various channels, including television spots, print ads, social media messages and digital platforms.
“The focus is to really tell the story of America’s oldest brewery,” said Tyler Simpson, director of marketing for Yuengling.
He said the company is looking forward to reaching more drinkers than ever before with this campaign, which is expected to go live April 18 and include increased signage at retail locations, including beer stores, bars and grocery accounts, he added.
The campaign will spread across Yuengling’s distribution footprint.
“We will be advertising on levels we haven’t in the past,” Simpson said.
Even in Pennsylvania, people may not know that Yuengling is America’s oldest brewery, he said, noting that this campaign should change that.
The campaign is the largest in the family owned company’s history, Tyler said.
Yuengling collaborated with Philadelphia- and Boston-based agency Allen & Gerritsen to create the campaign.
