Barry Isett & Associates Inc. has broken ground on a new central office.
The engineering and consulting firm now has eight locations across Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, but the new building at 5420 Crackersport Road in Upper Macungie will serve as the company’s headquarters.
It will replace the company’s current main office, which is in a double farmhouse along Route 100 near Trexlertown.
According to a press release from the company, the new facility will provide Isett associates with larger, smarter workspaces; several common spaces for meetings and team building and a patio for lunch breaks or outdoor work space.
Isett’s leadership broke ground on the building last week with project partners MKSD Architects and Boyle Construction.
“We set out from the very beginning that we were going to treat our consultants on this project like we like to be treated – with respect and trust,” Kevin Campbell, Isett president and CEO, said at the groundbreaking event. “We look forward to the evolution of this project and the continued evolution of the company.”
The next milestone for the project is expected in September when there will be a “topping-off” ceremony.
The new headquarters is expected to be complete and ready for occupancy by spring.
