Lower Macungie Township will have a new hospital by the end of 2023. 

The City of Allentown broke ground Wednesday for the new Allentown Fire Academy that will train people interested in a career as a firefighter. 

St. Luke’s University Health Network broke ground today on its new four-story, 165,000-square-foot patient care building at its Monroe Campus.  

The engineering and consulting firm now has eight locations across Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, but the new building at 5420 Crackersport Road in Upper Macungie will serve as the company’s headquarters.

Lehigh Valley Health Network broke ground Dec. 6 on its new hospital campus along Hecktown Road in Lower Nazareth Township.

A groundbreaking for a new LVHN hospital campus in Lower Nazareth Township will take place on Dec. 6, according to information shared at the LVHN 2019 Community Annual Meeting. The hospital will be located along Hecktown Road, off of Route 33 and include a 106,000-square-foot, two-story hospital; 35,000-square-foot Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute and 61,000-square-foot medical office building. 

The company broke ground Wednesday at the site of the new campus, which is about a mile from its existing campus at 7201 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown.
