Ben Franklin announces $114,500 in grants, investments

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania has announced its latest round of investments.

It has invested $114,500 in projects in this round including the distribution of funds from the Rebuilding Northeastern Pennsylvania Manufacturers Investment Fund, which is geared to provide matching grants to help small manufacturers recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Allentown, Inc., a sign manufacturer, received $8,000 to implement a new enterprise resource planning system.

In Kutztown, Inc. received $25,000 to develop a scanning application for mobile phones to allow doctors and consumers to scan and order orthotic devices.

In other investments, Bakery of Reading is receiving $17,000 to work with Lehigh University’s Center for Supply Chain Research to help the company improve the efficiency of space, storage and packaging.
