Ben Franklin Technology Partners announces $400K in funding

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania has announced more than $407,000 in investments in its latest round of funding.

The recipients include:

  • LLC of Bethlehem, which received $50,000 to develop and test a new type of magnetic beats to be used in cellular therapeutics.
  • Inc. of Bethlehem has received a $37,130 low interest loan from Ben Franklin’s Next-Generation Pandemic Defense Investments to build on its existing conversational artificial intelligence health care platform. This will provide patients, manufacturers and health networks with a method for asynchronous communication through voice technology.
  • APG Anchor Central of Easton received $15,000 to work with ‘s Enterprise Systems Center to improve its order fulfillment processes and enhance facility layout. Oldcastle manufactures precast pavers, bricks and concrete used in commercial and residential applications.
  • Inc. of Reading, received $15,000 to work with Lehigh University’s Enterprise Systems Center to improve warehouse and operating efficiencies. Brenntag is a chemical distributor.

Rebuilding Northeastern Pennsylvania Manufacturers Investments provided matching funding to two companies.

  • Inc. of Allentown received $25,000 to work with Lehigh University’s Enterprise Systems Center to analyze, test and develop intravenous tubing material of a longer length to help separate patients with infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, from caregivers who monitor an IV pump.
  • Inc. of Birdsboro received $15,000 to help adjust operations to improve production flow following the decrease in sales because of COVID-19. Reitnouer is a manufacturer of aluminum flatbed and drop deck trailers.
