The Glasbern, a registered Historic Hotel of America, has been bought by the Jaindl Companies.
The 100-acre resort in Fogelsville that includes luxurious lodging, a full-service event center, fine dining, a private spa and fitness center, walking trails, and a heated outdoor pool was bought by Glasbern Hospitality LLC and Glasbern Real Estate LLC, now part of the Jaindl Companies owned by David Jaindl.
Jaindl said it recently purchased the property from long-time owner Al Granger, who acquired the original 16-acre farm in 1985 and continually expanded it to become the destination it is today.
“I have been planning to retire for some time now and after careful consideration, I feel that David Jaindl and his company are the right fit to take Glasbern into its next chapter,” said Granger. “They understand what we have established here, and I am confident they will help our mission continue to flourish.”
Jaindl, who said he feels the Glasbern is a perfect fit for the company portfolio, said, “Al Granger and his team have done an outstanding job with the property over the years, updating it to meet modern needs while always maintaining the integrity and beauty of both the land and the structures that make up the resort. We are looking forward to preserving that.”
Jaindl plans to continue to operate Glasbern as a resort ideal for year-round weddings, corporate retreats, social events, and weekend getaways.
“Future upgrades to the property may include interior renovations and expanded amenities,” said Adam Jaindl, vice president of Jaindl Farms. “This property is a gem, and we look forward to expanding on the great foundation of what exists today.”
