Members 1st Charitable Foundation awards funds to nonprofit programs

The Members 1st Charitable Foundation awarded $56,500 to 13 supporting , , , and food security.

“Every cycle offers an opportunity to invest in organizations that are addressing critical needs and creating lasting impact close to home,” Sara Firestone, executive director of the Members 1st Charitable Foundation, said in a statement. “From supporting children and families to expanding access to food, housing, mental health resources and , these nonprofits are strengthening communities in meaningful ways.

“We are honored to support their efforts and the positive impact they have across our region.”

The following organizations have been selected to receive for their projects and initiatives:

  • Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center – Adams County
  • Animal Rescue League of County – Berks County
  • Caring Cupboard, Inc. – Lebanon County
  • Children’s Aid Society – York County
  • Elizabethtown Community Housing & Outreach Services (ECHOS) – Lancaster

County

  • Friends of Ephrata Police Foundation – Lancaster County
  • Joshua Group – Dauphin County
  • KidsPeace – County
  • Love INC of Greater Hershey – Dauphin County
  • NAMI Cumberland and Perry Counties – Cumberland and Perry Counties
  • Safe Berks – Berks County
  • Tri-County Community Housing – Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties
  • Vista Foundation – Cumberland County

According to a release, grant recipients were selected for programs that advance the Foundation’s mission through youth and family support, food security, housing stability, mental health services, financial education and overall community well-being.
