Lehigh and Northampton counties receive $250,000 grant to enhance cybersecurity

In an effort to protect local governments from , State Sen. Nick Miller, D-/, announced he helped secure a $250,000 grant to support Lehigh and Northampton counties in strengthening their defenses against cyberattacks, , and through a partnership with , a nationally recognized  firm. 

Through this grant, both counties will receive system upgrades, risk assessments, and expert guidance to modernize and fortify their cybersecurity infrastructure. This investment will strengthen county networks, safeguard residents’ personal and financial information, and improve emergency response and government continuity in the event of an attack. 

“Our counties are the backbone of , and a single cyber breach can expose thousands of residents’ personal data, disrupt essential services, and cost taxpayers millions,” said Miller. “ is escalating nationwide, and this investment is about meeting it head-on. I’m proud to announce this $250,000 investment at Lehigh Valley Active Life, where I heard residents’ cybersecurity concerns firsthand and connected them with valuable resources.”
