The combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming, along with fantasy contests, during October 2025 was $596,970,584, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (“PGCB”) reported.
The amount marked an increase of 20.22% compared to revenue generated in October 2024.
The total revenue from gaming includes all those regulated by the PGCB – retail slot machines and table games; casino-type games offered online (“iGaming”); sports wagering (both retail and online); fantasy contests; and video gaming terminals (“VGTs”).
A record amount of $251,097,586 for revenue generated through iGaming highlighted the October report. The figure eclipsed the previous high reached in March 2025 of $238,220,161. Total tax revenue generated collectively in October 2025 through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $252,287,937.
Retail slot machine revenue in October was $203,502,109, a 1.43% increase in revenue when compared to the $200,625,182 generated in October 2024. The number of slot machines in operation in October 2025 was 24,299 compared to 24,485 at the casinos in October 2024. Tax revenue from the play of slots machines in October 2025 was $102,842,274.
October 2025 retail table games revenue was $76,098,010, an increase of 2.97% from October 2024 when revenue was $73,900,826. Total tax revenue from table games play during October 2025 was $12,776,512.
Casino games offered online generated monthly revenue totaling $251,097,586 during October 2025 compared to $189,027,924 a year ago at this time, an increase of 32.84%. Revenue for both online slot machine and table games reached a monthly high. Tax revenue generated from internet gaming play during October 2025 was $112,684,116.
The total sports wagering handle for October 2025 was $968,507,712, which was 12.86% higher than the October 2024 total of $858,148,994. The October 2025 wagering handle was an all-time high eclipsing the $935,530,170 wagered in November 2024.
The taxable revenue figure for October 2025 was $60,674,209 or 121.66% over October 2024 when taxable revenue was $27,373,043. Tax revenue generated from sports wagering during October 2025 was $21,842,715.
Fantasy Contests revenue was $2,078,346 in October 2025, a decrease of 1.12% over October 2024, when revenue was $2,101,924. Tax revenue collected from the Fantasy Contests play in October 2025 was $311,752.
The PGCB oversees all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and VGTs at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.
The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack casinos, five stand-alone casinos, two resort casinos and four mini-casinos. Casinos and other types of board-regulated gaming generated $2.8 billion in tax revenue in Fiscal Year 2024/25.
