Rep. Wild announces billions in infrastructure funding for Pa.

is receiving more than $2.2 billion in funding, , D-, announced Wednesday. 

The investments will be used to fund repairs to roads and bridges and invest in . 

“The Bipartisan Law is working to provide necessary restoration of the roads and bridges we rely on every day,” Wild said in a statement. “I was proud to help deliver this historic infrastructure investment that not only strengthens the Greater Lehigh Valley’s , but also improves the health and safety of our community.”

The resources Pennsylvania will receive from the for Fiscal Year 2024 include the following:

  • $1.9 billion for road replacements and improvements. 
  • $353 million to repair and rebuild bridges. 
  • $36.5 million to build electric vehicle chargers.

Over the next five years, Pennsylvania is expected to receive more than $13.2 billion for improvements to roads and bridges. The investments will be used to address the 3,350 bridges and 7,540 miles of state highway in need of repair.
