Schuylkill Valley Family Practice to join Penn State Health

The affiliation affords patients access to a spectrum of care, including at Penn State Health St. Joseph in Bern Township and clinical trials and advanced specialty care at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.
Penn State Health St. Joseph-Leesport, which is next to the practice, will provide lab and radiology services.
Schuylkill Valley Family Practice has 13 employees, including Dr. Gregory Tuke and Dr. Timothy Makatche. Both started the practice in 1991.
“This is a positive move for our patients and our community,” Tuke said.
“As I have had the opportunity to observe the area’s health systems over the last many years, I see that Penn State Health St. Joseph really does strive to maintain a caring and personal atmosphere for patients and staff.”
Makatche noted Penn State Health’s dedication to the personal and technical aspects of medicine.
