KidsPeace has named Tamara Wasilick  executive director of KidsPeace Children’s Hospital. 

Capital Blue Cross awarded Lehigh County-based KidsPeace a $50,000 educational improvement grant.  

Schnecksville-based KidsPeace has named Robert Scheffler to the newly created position of vice president of Pennsylvania residential, education and hospital programs. 

Schnecksville-based KidsPeace said that it has received accreditation from the Joint Commission for its residential treatment programs in Georgia and Maine.

KidsPeace has launched a program at its Orefield campus designed to help teen boys with severe behavioral challenges caused by significant trauma in their lives.

Pennsylvania’s need for increased access to mental health care was the focus of Gov. Wolf’s visit to the Lehigh Valley on Jan. 3.  As part of a new mental health initiative called Reach Out PA: Your Mental Health Matters, Wolf spoke with mental health advocates, providers, legislators, and others at a roundtable at Muhlenberg College in Allentown.
