Bethlehem’s Tyber Medical LLC just got a big boost to one of its product lines. 

Big news coming from Bethlehem orthopedic device manufacturer, Tyber Medical. 

Bethlehem’s Tyber Medical, a manufacturer of orthopedic implants, said it will be doubling its manufacturing footprint with the acquisition of Florida-based CatapultMD. 

As companies look to the Lehigh Valley to move or expand headquarters and manufacturing operations, a key part of their decision-making is the question of workforce. If the workforce exists, that’s where they will go, and it’s a top reason many major companies recently announced plans to build in the region.

A ribbon cutting celebration at Tyber Medical Inc. and a tour of its newly expanded manufacturing facility on Monday helped highlight the growing orthopedic device company’s efforts to establish a significant presence as a major Lehigh Valley employer.

A Dec. 9 ribbon cutting is planned for a major expansion effort at Tyber Medical LLC in the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park IV in Hanover Township, Northampton County.

A number of economic development projects around the state, including two in the Greater Lehigh Valley, are getting a boost from low-interest loans that have just been approved by the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority.
