Mid Penn Bank has hired Robert Fischer as senior vice president and senior commercial loan manager.
Based at the Bank’s Wyomissing office, Fischer will support commercial banking growth and oversee commercial lending and business development efforts across the region.
He will report to Joseph Butto, first senior vice president and regional president.
According to a press release, Fischer brings nearly three decades of banking experience spanning commercial lending.
Most recently, he served as executive vice president and Pennsylvania and New Jersey market leader at Customers Bank, where he was responsible for commercial loan and deposit growth across the bank’s primary market territory and managed commercial sales and credit functions.
During his career, Fischer also held senior commercial banking leadership roles with VIST Financial and Susquehanna Bank, as well as earlier positions with Blue Ball National Bank.
Fischer earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Alvernia University. He is also a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Banking at Dickinson University and the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking at Bucknell University.
