Ben Franklin TechVentures in Bethlehem is reaching out to students in the Allentown School District to encourage their interest in tech careers.
On Dec.18, 40 students from Allentown will visit Ben Franklin TechVentures as part of the PA Gear Up: Reach for the Future program.
The event is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology, hear from startup founders, and learn about the entrepreneurial journey.
The visit aligns with PA Gear Up’s mission to promote equitable college access and success by fostering a college-going culture and building community support for educational opportunities.
The students will gain insight into the innovation-driven economy and the impact of entrepreneurial ventures in the region.
“Our goal is to inspire these students by showing them what’s possible when passion meets innovation,” said Wayne Barz, chief investment officer at Ben Franklin Technology Partners. “Through this collaboration with PA Gear Up, we hope to spark curiosity and ambition in the next generation of leaders.”
As part of the event, entrepreneurs from With Meraki Co. and Steel Jupiter will share their stories, discussing challenges and successes in launching their businesses.
Students will also explore the state-of-the-art Ben Franklin TechVentures facility and learn about its role in supporting tech startups.
