Businesses in the Lehigh Valley will get a chance to meet the buyers on Sept. 2.
In what the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation called the region’s largest procurement matchmaking event, the Meet the Buyers Expo will bring together companies, educators, government entities, and others to make connections and discuss how they can do business together locally.
The event gives small and medium-sized businesses an opportunity to market themselves to larger companies and organizations that are looking for new vendors and to diversify their supplier network for goods and services.
More than 100 businesses attended last year’s event and pitched their products and services to nearly three dozen buyers and resource partners.
This year’s event will be held at Lehigh Valley International Airport.
Small and large businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, procurement professionals, business development teams, sales teams, and business owners are invited to attend.
“Whether you’re expanding your network, pursuing new partnerships, or simply gathering ideas, the Expo is an environment geared toward meaningful, productive interactions,” said Tina Smith, director of Community and Economic Development for Northampton County.
Buyers who are registered for this year’s event to date include the City of Bethlehem, County of Lehigh, Crayola, General Services Administration, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority, PPL Corporation, River Crossing YMCA, SERVPRO Team Davis, TWG Security, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
