Bethlehem just keeps raking in the honors and now it’s a finalist for another distinction.
USA Today has named Bethlehem’s Main Street one of the Best in America.
The nomination comes after a panel of travel experts included the historic Main Street in its list of 20 places that offer, “living history, have a vibrant culture, and serve as the hearts of their communities.”
Historic Hotel Bethlehem, which has received its own share of honors is excited about the recognition.
Director of Room Sales and Guest Experience Kelly Ronalds commented on the nomination.
“Over the past several years, we’ve worked hard to raise awareness among national travel experts about our amazing Main Street. We’ve been honored to welcome them as guests and show them around town,” Ronalds said.
The hotel has served as a Destination Marketing Organization for the historic district for several years.
“As soon as we heard the Moravian Church Settlements were on the tentative list to become a World Heritage Site, we mobilized a national marketing campaign. Our team built a promotional website visithistoricbethlehem.com that included a heavy emphasis on Main Street,” said Hotel Managing Partner Bruce Haines. “We also conducted a national social media advertising campaign encouraging people from all over America to discover Bethlehem’s Main Street.”
It’s now up to the public to determine the top 10 from the 20 finalists.
Fans of Bethlehem’s Main Street can vote for it online at the USA Today Website (https://10best.usatoday.com/awards/best-main-street/).
“Having won the USA Today Best Historic Hotel contest four years in a row, we have some great experience in encouraging people to vote. So, I’m happy to share that our team will lead an effort to get out the vote,” said Haines.
Anyone can vote once a day every day up until April 7th at noon.
