Greenlight Networks, a regional fiber-to-the-home provider that serves more than 320,000 homes and small businesses across New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, has announced plans to expand its internet network in the Lehigh Valley.
The $62 million expansion will bring its service to households and businesses in the region by the end of 2027.
The company said that more than half, nearly $33 million it is investing is earmarked to build the infrastructure within the City of Bethlehem, one of the first communities selected for the initial fiber network build.
Construction is already underway in the first neighborhoods of Central Bethlehem.
More than 22,000 homes and businesses are expected to gain access to Greenlight’s fiber-optic network with initial service availability starting this spring.
Additional neighborhoods will come online throughout the summer and into the fall.
“We’re excited to bring more choice to Pennsylvania residents and businesses,” said Mark Murphy, CEO of Greenlight Networks. “As we begin construction in Bethlehem and prepare for continued expansion across the region, we’re focused on delivering not just fast, reliable internet, but also meaningful community partnerships. Making meaningful investments and fostering long-term partnerships reflects our commitment to supporting the communities we serve in lasting ways.”
The Lehigh Valley expansion builds on Greenlight’s 2025 acquisition of Loop Internet, which added local staff and resources in northeast Pennsylvania.
Greenlight’s acquisition of FastBridge Fiber, which is expected to close mid-2026, will further extend the company’s footprint across Southeast Pennsylvania.
