Highlands at Wyomissing creates nonprofit holding company

A new nonprofit holding company for aging services has been formed by the Highlands at Wyomissing‘s Board of Directors and leadership.
Aspire for Well-Being will serve The Highlands at Wyomissing, Aspire for Well-Being Home Care, and Aspire for Well-Being Healthcare Staffing, they said in a statement.
This new model allows for flexibility and enhanced service delivery for all Aspire for Well-Being entities, while exploring new opportunities to serve the growing senior population in Pennsylvania, the board and leadership said.
Aspire for Well-Being has become the holding company to The Highlands at Wyomissing as well as the additional, independently operated entities under the Aspire for Well-Being umbrella. The board and leadership said the Aspire for Well-Being entities will provide these important services to The Highlands to start.
“The creation of Aspire for Well-Being represents a commitment to the future of senior living,” Kevin DeAcosta, who is serving as president and CEO of Aspire for Well-Being as well as The Highlands at Wyomissing, said in a statement. “This innovative structure will allow us to leverage our strengths in serving the interests of today’s older adults in new and broader ways. As we look ahead, we are excited about the opportunities this brings for growth and collaboration and to further our mission.”
As part of Aspire for Well-Being, The Highlands will continue to operate under its existing name. Under its new holding company, The Highlands will be able to more effectively leverage resources and expertise across its operations, the board and leadership said.
The other two initial entities of Aspire for Well-Being, its home care and healthcare staffing offerings, will initially focus on continuing to support The Highlands, with a future vision of serving the broader Berks County area and beyond, they said.
