Norris McLaughlin PA

Judith Harris is co-chair of the Estate, Trust and Tax Law Practice Group at Norris McLaughlin.

“We are service professionals in the business of serving valued clients,” Harris said. “How fortunate I have been to have had mentors who displayed brilliance, fine character, respect for the law and strong leadership. Human capital is our most precious resource. Situation sense is paramount; a sense of humor is required. I work to continue the tradition of my mentors: Lead by example; embody strong values in legal practice, decision making, ethics, citizenship and personhood. The results are enormous.”

Her family owned businesses in the Allentown, Bethlehem and Emmaus areas, and her parents viewed the skill set of an accomplished tax attorney and CPA as indispensable. “They guided me in wonderful ways, professionally, as did the longtime CPA and his firm who brilliantly served my family over many decades. Estate, trust and tax legal practice demands a fascinating combination of skills as a listener, adviser, manager, tax planner, psychologist and problem solver.”

Outside of work, “we are blessed by the Lehigh Valley community and its treasures. I have the pleasure of serving on the boards of several organizations,” including Allentown Symphony Association, PA Shakespeare Festival (currently president), Fund to Benefit Children & Youth, Lehigh County Agricultural Society. “I love Shakespeare and theater and music of all kinds, especially music of our American Songbook, and am a lifelong pianist.”
