The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s Board of Directors has elected Robert Scaer to a two-year term as its new chairman. Scaer is a member of the board of directors and former chairman and CEO of GFT, a global infrastructure and engineering firm.
He previously served as the PA Chamber Board of Directors’ first vice chair and succeeds Manuel Mar, senior vice president of Santander Bank, whose term expired.
“We are excited for Bob to ascend to the chairman’s role to build on the incredible progress we’ve made advancing policies that foster growth, innovation, and opportunity for Pennsylvania businesses,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein. “We also want to thank Manny as his tenure as chair included historic pro-business wins that strengthened both the PA Chamber and the commonwealth, and we are grateful for his commitment and leadership.”
At the same meeting, Justin Ladner, president of Pennsylvania American Water, was elected to serve as the board of directors’ first vice chair.
