In the past 12 months, Pennsylvania’s medical sales brought in $909.4M, according to an April report from Headset, a Seattle-based cannabis research and data analysis firm.

Flower, the budding part of the plant that contains the cannabinoids, is the largest category of sales in the state, the report reads, at $394 million over the past 12 months.

April 16 marked the five-year anniversary of the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act, according to the state, which established the medical marijuana program in the commonwealth.

Pennsylvania residents can be treated with medical marijuana if under a practitioner’s care for more than a dozen serious medical conditions, including ALS, autism, cancer, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and post-traumatic stress disorder.
