Tower Health signs affiliation agreement with Jefferson Health

Jefferson Health is expanding its reach further into the region.
After acquiring Lehigh Valley Health Network in August of 2024, the Philadelphia-based health care network has now begun an affiliation with Reading-based Tower Health.
While it is not a merger or acquisition, a spokesperson for Tower Health said the affiliation will expand on Tower’s access to high-quality care close to home and improve the health of the communities it serves.
Tower Health’s leadership, governance and day-to-day operations remain unchanged with this agreement, it said.
“As we move forward, we will explore opportunities to collaborate with Jefferson Health to strengthen clinical programs, increase access to advanced specialty care, invest in innovation, and create new opportunities for research and education,” the Health Network said in a statement.
Tower Health operates health care facilities including Reading Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
The network provides medical services across Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties through its regional hospitals, urgent care centers, and medical groups.
