Pennsylvania’s combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests during January 2025 was $529,079,052, () reported Thursday.

The total marked an increase of 10.88% compared to revenue generated a year ago at this time. Total tax from games revenue during January 2025 was $221,642,068.

The PGCB oversees all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based , , , and (VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy contests.

Slot machine revenue in January was $187,834,351, a 4.64% increase in revenue when compared to the $179,507,293 from January 2024. The number of slot machines in operation in January 2025 was 24,388, down from the 24,949 at the casinos last January. Tax revenue from the play of slot machines in January 2025 was $94,828,123.

Revenue from retail table games for January 2025 was $73,720,836, an increase of 1.46% from the $72,658,060 in January 2024. Total tax revenue from table games play during January 2025 was $12,321,288.

Internet Casino-Type Gaming () revenue generated a record amount of monthly gross revenue totaling $210,170,977 in January 2025. It’s an increase of 40.52% Compared to revenue of $149,563,721 in January 2024. Tax revenue generated from iGaming during January 2025 was $93,899,805.

January 2025 revenue from total sports wagering handle was $873,149,858, 1.75% above the January 2024 total of $858,152,503. The taxable revenue figure for January 2025 was $51,500,459, 26.35% lower than the taxable revenue of $69,924,036 a year ago at this time. Tax revenue generated from sports wagering during January 2025 was $18,540,165.

Total adjusted revenue for January 2025 for VGTs was $3,175,197, 4.48% more than the January 2024 revenue of $3,039,145. By the end of January 2025, all operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 74 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 72 establishments at this time last year. Tax revenue collected from the play of VGTs in January 2025 was $1,651,103.

Fantasy contests revenue was $2,677,232 in January 2025, an increase of 8.86% over last January’s revenue of $2,459,307. Tax revenue collected from the play of fantasy contests in January 2025 was $401,585.
