PPL Electric Utilities wants to broaden the diversity of businesses and business leaders that supply it with goods and services and it will begin with a summit next month.
The conference is open to women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned and LGBT-owned businesses, as well as disadvantaged and HUBZone businesses. PPL Electric Utilities is looking for a wide range of goods and services, from computer and construction to auto parts and paper products.
“We have seen this event grow since we first started offering it in 2016,” said Bill Pettit, PPL’s supply chain director. “Every one of these conferences has proven to be invaluable to us in that they have allowed us to meet some really great business owners and people. We look forward to being able to expand our supplier diversity yet again with the help of this year’s event.”
Those attending the event will have the chance to meet PPL leaders, supply chain staff members and PPL prime suppliers, and discuss opportunities to become a PPL supplier themselves.
The event will be held at 8 a.m. March 20 at the PPL Conference Center at Walbert, 1639 Church Rd., Allentown.
Participation is limited to 150. For more information or to register click HERE.
