The Lehigh Valley’s demographics are changing, and a growth in population and lifestyle needs has led to a boom in apartment construction – especially in urban centers, where developers can barely keep up with the demand. 

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday for the opening of The Seville Apartments in Easton. The 67-unit project by Peron Development represents a $15 million investment in the city that is expected to bring 100 residents downtown. 

The City of Easton has settled on the sale of a property that will bring a more than $75 million mixed-use development project to the downtown.

A groundbreaking is planned for Wednesday for a new 68-unit apartment building in Easton.

A special committee appointed by Easton Mayor Sal Panto has urged city council to approve a plan to add nearly 200 apartment units, artist studios and 32,000 square feet of combined retail, office, and entertainment space to downtown Easton on the former Days Inn property.
