Two Pa. senior-living trade organizations announce plans to affiliate

LeadingAge PA, a Mechanicsburg-based senior-living trade association, has signed an agreement with Lancaster-based Kairos Health Systems to bring the organization on as a subsidiary.
Kairos Health Systems partners with long-term care, home health and hospice providers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York and Tennessee to reduce their cost of care and provide data analytics and consulting services.
The two organizations agreed this week to affiliate with one another, a process that is expected to finish by this spring. When complete, Kairos will become a wholly owned subsidiary of LeadingAge, but the organizations expect to continue operations as separate entities.
“By aligning with LeadingAge PA, we can enhance and expand our service offerings to give our current and future members, as well as LeadingAge PA members, access to a stronger network and resources to help them improve quality, satisfaction and financial outcomes for their organizations,” said Jennifer Wimer, president and CEO of Kairos.
Leading Age represents more than 340 nonprofit senior living organizations that employ more than 50,000 caregivers in Pennsylvania. Adam Marles, CEO of Leading Age, said that the trade association recognizes the value that Kairos provides to its members.
“We are thrilled to have Kairos as part of the LeadingAge PA network and encourage providers interested in leveraging commitment to quality care to access its services so they can continue to further strengthen their positions in the field of aging services. I am excited about what the future holds for both of our organizations,” Marles said.
