Wawa plans celebration for new Allentown store

A grand opening is planned for Feb. 26 at its new location at 3015 Lehigh St, in Allentown – its first store opening of 2026.
The grand opening will have theme that gives a nod to America’s 250th Birthday and stores also celebrate each new community Wawa is serving.
The festivities will start at 7:55 a.m. with Wawa General Manager Christopher Olsson counting down to the moment when the doors open for the very first time at 8:00 a.m.
Besides the ribbon cutting ceremony there will be giveaways and a Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition. A
Wawa said it plans 100 grand opening parties across the country that celebrate local communities across the communities Wawa serves.
In partnership with America250PA, Wawa is proud to be able to celebrate the nation’s birthday with a visit from the Keystone Kid mascot.
Wawa is bringing its 2026 Grand Opening Tour to fourteen states in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest regions.
