PFA approves $114.6M revenue bonds to fund Inperium acquisition of KidsPeace and other nonprofits

The  recently issued in an amount not to exceed $114.6 million for the -based nonprofit, Inperium Inc. 

The financing will support Inperium’s acquisition of three nonprofit, federally tax-exempt providers including . 

It also includes the acquisitions of Children & Family Services Corporation, and Crystal Lake Supportive Environments Inc. And other respective tax-exempt affiliates of Imperium.  

The funds will help to finance the acquisition, construction, and equipping of human services facilities, including mental and behavioral health services. 

Inperium, Inc. is the parent corporation of a network of affiliated nonprofit corporations and limited liability companies offering a diverse array of human services.   

Proceeds from the bonds will be used to finance the acquisition of the three providers through the purchase of sole membership interests, the construction and improvement of facilities across the acquisition jurisdictions, the refinancing of lines of credit used to fund a portion of the acquisitions, and the acquisition of information technology software and equipment.   

The financing also includes the authorized reallocation of unspent proceeds from PFA’s previously issued 2024 revenue bonds for Inperium.  

“Access to mental and behavioral health services remains a critical need across communities nationwide, and this financing allows Inperium to expand its reach while lowering its cost of capital,” said Bill Kacvinsky, Inperium board chair. “By supporting the acquisition and integration of these providers, we’re helping ensure more individuals and families have access to the human services they need.”
