The Butz Family of Companies, which consists of Alexander (Harrisburg/State College), Alvin H. Butz (Lehigh Valley), and Shoemaker Construction (Conshohocken) has announced several key promotions.
Mike Butz has been appointed General Manager. According to a company release, Mike oversees all projects and teams to ensure their success and oversees daily operations of the business. In addition, he serves as an executive-level contact for clients. Along with his brother Steve, Mike takes on additional oversight and management responsibilities as Officers and Principals of the firm.
Steve Butz has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. He recently oversaw the $40 million Da Vinci Science Center project. Per the release, Steve is involved in several current projects, including the Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown‘s new Youth Center and Rodale Institute campus projects, while taking on additional operational duties throughout the enterprise. Along with Mike, Steve takes on additional oversight and management responsibilities as Officers and Principals of the firm.
Promoted to Executive Vice President is Steve Lee. In this new role as Executive Vice President, Steve will lead the strategic vision of the enterprise, manage succession planning for a six-generation family-owned business, and oversee various departments within the company, according to a release. He will provide executive leadership for major clients and complex projects. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Steve has been an owner, designer, and builder, delivering projects across the region.
Rob Avitabile has been promoted to Project Executive, and Kyle Collina has been promoted to Project Executive.
Based in Allentown, the firm has experience in the construction of healthcare facilities, colleges and universities, K-12 schools, manufacturing facilities, sports and entertainment venues, government buildings, parking garages, and mixed-use buildings.
