Corporate volunteers gearing up for Day of Caring

Volunteers from corporations throughout the Lehigh Valley are getting ready to help out at the region’s nonprofits during the 32nd ‘s . 

According to the United Way, around 1,500 volunteers will be completing projects at dozens of nonprofits across Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon counties. 

Run in partnership with the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, Day of Caring is the community’s largest, single-day volunteer effort and marks the public launch of United Way’s 2025 Campaign. Together with over 60 nonprofit partners, volunteers will complete more than 65 projects across Lehigh and Northampton counties. United Way leadership will join volunteers throughout the region as they renovate rooms at local Community Schools, stock and organize food pantries and beautify outdoor spaces. 

During the day volunteers will be at the Slate Belt Senior Center in Bangor spending the morning visiting older adults. 

Among the day’s other activities, volunteers will be at Paxinosa Elementary School cleaning up the school’s outdoor classroom and volunteers will be at the Sixth Street Shelter working on cleaning and beautification projects.
