What began in Joe and Cindi Davis’ home garage to fix their neighbors cars has evolved into a 10-bay auto repair shop, they said.
The Davises started the company out of their garage while they raised three young children, putting everything on the line to start the businesses, they said.
“Honestly, I don’t think it was anything but a challenge from the beginning,” they said. “Having to work out of our home garage in freezing temps to extreme heat. With no lift, I had to do all the work on my back under the car. Customers would just show up to the house unannounced with car issues, asking for immediate fix,” Joe Davis said.
Joe Davis AutoSport is a family-run business. Their son, Ryan, worked as a technician for several years. Cindi Davis’ sister does the filing and Joe Davis’ brother has done door installations. Their nephews plow he lot in the winter.
“We constantly have family helping fro one end of the business to the other,” they said.
The long-term goal of the company is to expand. Joe Davis said he has a five year plan in place to transfer the business to the shop apprentice and service manager and continue the legacy so the couple can retire.
