Leapfrog Group recognizes hospital excellence

Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Healthcare said that 12 hospitals and one ambulatory surgery center in Pennsylvania will be receiving an elite national award for excellence in health care quality and safety from The Leapfrog Group today.
This national recognition is one of the most competitive honors U.S. hospitals and ASCs can earn for excellence in patient safety and quality of care.
Among those being honored are St. Luke’s Hospital – Easton Campus, St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown Campus, St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Campus, St. Luke’s University Hospital – Bethlehem Campus, which are all being recognized as top teaching hospitals.
Additionally, St. Luke’s Monroe campus was named best rural hospital
LVBCH noted that it serves as the designated Regional Leader for Leapfrog, a national watchdog organization of employers and other purchasers focused on health care safety and quality.
It will honor the 2025 Top Hospital Award and Top Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Award winners as part of its Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner Monday night.
