Listen to this articleRep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is adding another committee to the list she currently serves on in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Mackenzie has been appointed to serve on the House Housing and Community Development Committee for the rest of the 2023-24 Legislative Session.
“I am truly passionate about meeting the demand for housing and community development in our Commonwealth,” Mackenzie said in a statement. “I will work hard as a member of this committee to prioritize the need for affordable housing and growing our precious Pennsylvania communities.”
Mackenzie was named to the Children and Youth Committee and the Education and Human Services Committee at the beginning of the current Legislative Session.
Mackenzie will join fellow legislators in reviewing bills that are assigned to committees. She and fellow committee members can hold hearings on legislation, consider amendments to pending bills, and report bills to the full House for a vote.
