Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health, officially dedicated the David and Jackie Jaindl Family Birth and Newborn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Cedar Crest on Wednesday.
The health network noted that it has more than 3,100 births each year. The multiphase renovation of the center began in September of last year.
“Giving back is a core principle of our family, thanks to my father and grandfather,” David Jaindl said in a release. “Everyone deserves access to high-quality health care, and our community counts on LVHN to provide that care,” Jackie Jaindl says. “Our family is honored to help make that possible for current and future generations in our region.”
Renovations included a makeover of the family waiting room with new furnishings; a new bereavement room for families who experience loss; redesigned nurses’ stations for improved communication, access and patient privacy, renovated rooms with enhanced lighting and new décor, window coverings and furniture and a new birthing suite dedicated to midwifery, with hydrotherapy and special furnishings.
The expected completion for the multiphase project is December 2025.
