“I guide Good Shepherd Rehabilitation’s overall strategy for inpatient and outpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation, including strategic planning, program development, physician leadership, quality, service and clinical care,” said Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer Sandeep Singh. “I also oversee Good Shepherd’s collaboration with the Temple University Hospital Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program at Good Shepherd, a three-year categorical training that trains physicians who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation.”
Over the last year, he noted, COVID-19’s impact “has had a tremendous influence on the medical care delivery model. Burnout rates among physicians and other providers is at a significant high and alternative work environment options continue to provide additional considerations in maintaining and retaining our clinical workforce. Collaborative models and partnerships revolving around … respect and relationship have provided us a path forward to create stability in an uncertain world.”
