Shift4 founder Isaacman tapped to lead NASA

It looks like a Lehigh Valley executive is getting his dream job after all.
After originally having his nomination revoked by the Trump administration earlier this year, Shift4 founder Jared Isaacman has now been appointed to serve as the 15th administrator of NASA.
Upon his confirmation, Isaacman resigned from his post as the executive chairman of the company’s board of directors. CEO Taylor Lauber has been appointed as his replacement.
“We are thrilled for Jared and are eager to witness his exceptional talents and bold vision put to work at NASA,” said Taylor in a release. “Those of us who have worked closely with Jared over the years have been privileged to see both his ambition and ability to achieve those lofty goals. Now we’re excited for America to see what we’ve known for some time. His achievements will continue to inspire all of us at Shift4 as we drive towards an exciting future.”
Under Isaacman’s leadership, Shift4 has grown from a startup into a global leader in integrated payment processing solutions, employing over 6,000 individuals and processing over $250 billion in payments for more than 200,000 customers worldwide.
Isaacman shot to fame after flights with Elon Musk’s SpaceX program, including being the first private citizen to conduct a spacewalk.
