St. Luke’s University Health Network will continue offering to its employees.

Capital Blue Cross said it signed a three-year contract with SLUHN for continued coverage.

“St. Luke’s has had a longstanding relationship with Capital that has assured their members easy access to the kind of high-quality outcomes and patient experiences for which St. Luke’s has long been known,” St. Luke’s Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer Scott Wolfe, said in a statement.

Capital Blue Cross has provided coverage to all of St. Luke’s 20,000 employees and their family members since 2022, the health insurer said. St. Luke’s is among the Lehigh Valley’s largest employers, with 15 campuses and more than 300 care sites throughout nine counties in eastern Pennsylvania.

“Capital Blue Cross is honored that St. Luke’s continues to put its trust in us to serve their employees and families,” said Capital President and CEO Todd Shamash. “It speaks volumes that a major regional employer in the health care field has continually relied on us to help ensure their employees have high-quality, affordable coverage. Their team is top notch, and we look forward to growing our partnership.”

Evan Ochs, SLUHN senior vice president, Human Resources, said SLUHN has received numerous awards as the region’s best health care employer.

“A few months ago, we were once again named a Top Workplaces nationally, in Pennsylvania, and in New Jersey. In addition, St. Luke’s was recognized by Forbes Magazine as the top-ranked employer in the Lehigh Valley and one of the best employers in Pennsylvania,” Ochs said.
