AnnMarie Vigilante has been the Principal and Vice President at Langan Engineering for four years. It this role, she manages the traffic and transportation department in Pennsylvania and Texas as well as the highway/roadway department across the firm.
“I have close to 28 years of experience developing innovative highway and site development plans and concentrate on building relationships with clients in order to develop business for the firm’s transportation practice,” Vigilante said. “I am currently working to grow the Texas and Southern California Traffic and Transportation Groups.
A hurdle Vigilante sees in the industry is the lack of diversity. “Langan has taken proactive steps to promote diversity and inclusion by introducing an official firm-wide diversity and inclusion program,” Vigilante said. “I currently chair our Woman@Langan group which was established to foster an atmosphere of mentorship and support to empower women to achieve career and personal success.”
This year, Vigilante has worked on a variety of major commercial, industrial, health care and residential developments where she designed transportation facilities and networks that shaped developments, influenced property values, and helped determine neighborhood character and quality of life, she said.
“I strive to bring a fresh perspective to these projects and provide key insights while still being able to address some common and sometimes major traffic issues that arise during development.”
