Michael Metzger

President
Alloy5

Michael Metzger has been a registered architect and president of Alloy5 for the past 10 years.

“I oversee our entire operation and its growth side-by-side with my partner Randy Galiotto, who is also a registered architect,” Metzger said. “Alloy5 has experienced tremendous growth since its founding in 2015 and today we are one of the largest professional architectural firms in the region. As president, I provide leadership, strategy and decision-making that impact our operations, communication, relationships, finance and performance.”

According to Metzger, architecture firms face challenges related to hiring new staff. Alloy5 has developed a robust internship program that creates a direct pathway from learning to employment.

“We have a great relationship with Northampton Community College right here in the Lehigh Valley and we have a junior internship program that accepts local high school students,” Metzger said. “This allows young people who are considering careers in architecture to learn about the profession before they commit to a college or university.”

Bethlehem Area School District selected Alloy5 to design the new Fountain Hill Elementary School.

“We have been working directly with district and school personnel on the new design,” Metzger said. “This project is particularly important to me as I grew up a block away from the school.”
